Post-Course Requirements
👥 Practice Teaching
Practice teaching the exercises on another person (also known as a “practice body”). This builds your verbal instruction and hands-on teaching skills.
Important Notes:
- Studio receptionist must be informed 24 hours in advance
- Practice teaching only when receptionist is present
- Practice body must sign Practice Body Waiver
- You are not allowed to charge your practice body a fee
- Practice only on equipment from courses you’ve taken
👁️ Observation Hours
Watch group classes, private sessions in the studio, or view videos from PAI Facebook Education Page. Maximum 5 hours can be from videos (10 hours for APM).
Observation Guidelines:
- Inform receptionist 24 hours in advance for group class observation
- Check with instructor and client for private class observation
- Sit respectable distance (at least 3 reformers) from clients
- No video/audio recording allowed
- Attending a group class is not considered observation
📚 Personal Review
Study the exercises – exercise design, modifications, breath patterns, muscles involved, etc. Taking paid group classes or private sessions counts toward personal study hours.
Study Requirements:
- Group classes require minimum 2 regular clients or 3 mentees
- Regular clients have priority over mentees for class slots
- Inform receptionist 24 hours in advance to join group class
- Can practice exercises at home with equipment or at studio
- All hours must be logged on provided log sheets

Examination Process
⏰ Exam Timeline
Standard Timeline
You have one year from the last day of the course to take certification exams. This allows ample time to complete post-course requirements.
Extended Timeline
If more than one year passes, you must schedule a review session with certifying instructor at ₱9,000/hour or audit the entire course.
📝 Exam Components
Level I Courses
- Written Exam: Minimum 80% required to pass
- Practical Exam: Pass/Fail grading
- Both components must be passed for certification
- Exams can be taken on different days within one week
Level II Courses
- Practical Exam Only: Pass/Fail grading
- No written component required
- Focuses on advanced exercise execution
- Assessment of teaching progression skills

The ABP course has a unique three-part examination structure covering all aspects of anatomy and biomechanics.
